Smart, chic and reliable.

Albariño is taking the world by storm because of its refreshing drinkability! It’s a bit softer than Sauvignon, but not as full on as Viognier even though it does have that lovely peach character. It’s great if you want your wine to be cold, refreshing and versatile. There aren’t loads of albariño and you will mostly find them in the Spanish section but you can also find it as Alvarinho in Portugal, and it is being grown in other countries too so watch out for more.

Things you should know

Top Tip: It's a good wine to order if you see it on a pub winelist
Specific Food Match: Open the fridge and pour a glass! Albariño is a great wine to have at the end of the day, but you can drink it with lots of light dishes - just steer clear of red meat or creamy sauces.
