Forget dry, nasty cheap cava right now, especially because this is a semi seco (or what the French call demi-sec and we would call off dry). Which means you get the fresh, bubbly nature of good cava with an extra dose of sweetness making it all the more gluggable.
It’s got more staying power IMHO than prosecco and the off dryness means it’s very good on it’s own, particularly if you’re not a fan of how dry champagne and cava are. It’s also exceptionally good with cake – need we say more?
