Blending drinkability with sheer class.

Red

Vintage: 2015
Aussie Shiraz has fallen off the radar a bit, but tasting this Hesketh Shiraz should put it right back on yours. A cracking, good value example of where Australian wines get the balance between drinkability and quality.
Whilst its name, Midday Somewhere, correctly suggests the complete drinkability of this wine, I’m not sure I’d have it down as a midday wine, especially at 14.5%. Instead I’d be cracking this open on a Thursday night with pals around the kitchen table.
Full of fresh berry flavours with more than a hint of liquorice and spice, this isn’t just chugging juice, the flavours are intense, and there’s quite a lot of structure too, making it a perfect wine for meatballs and ragu sauces.
