It’s International Women’s Day, which isn’t really something that should be limited to one day, granted. But it is an excuse to take a look at some of the ladies of wine I’ve been speaking to about what they do in the wine trade… The series of interviews will continue on but here are our first three, a domaine owner, a winemaker and a wine writer…
Katie Jones – owner of Domaine Jones
Domaine Jones is the latest episode in Katie’s love affair with French wine, but despite it being a long way from home it brings her family together as well as putting wine in our glasses
Corlea Fourie – Vineyard Manager at Bosman Wines
You won’t have heard of Corlea but you may well have tried a wine she has a hand in making. We caught up with her at harvest time, existing on coffee and water, but her twitter feed tells a tale of nature, socialising and lots of wine. *Warning – life envy alert!
Helen McGinn – Author of The Knackered Mother’s Wine Club
Helen has jumped the fence from professional wine buyer to wine writer which makes her a savvy choice for people looking for recommendations for a delicious glass of something after a long day! Her blog strikes a chord of so many who are almost too tired to open a bottle as they sink into the sofa.
I’ve always believed that wine is so much more than just booze… It brings us together and a glass of wine with a friend always seems to make the world a better place so here’s to you!
Cheers!
