A light and easy style of Fiano to whet your appetite.

White
Vintage: 2013

A lovely Fiano that does a double duty of easy drinking, slips-down-nicely white and of an interesting wine with texture and flavour beyond your run-of-the-mill whites. Fiano grapes are thicker skinned which gives the wine a bit of texture and the winemaking adds a hint of creaminess meaning that this can stand up to dishes with more flavour and oomph. This also adds some interesting flavours alongside some tropical fruits you also get a nutty flavour.
This particular Fiano is on the lighter end of the Fiano scale, making it a good starting point if you’ve never tried one before. Delicous on its own or with pastry, cheese or salads.

An extra bonus is that the wine is made sustainably with limited pesticides and a focus on the biodiversity of the local area.

This wine was provided by Corney and Barrow for the Borders Book Festival and is a sponsored wine.
