This Gavi has a bit more oomph than some, which makes it an all-rounder with flavour and texture. From blossom to baked apple a rare wine to drink all night

White

Vintage: 2015
Gavi sits midway along our White Central line for good reason, it’s a bit of a goldilocks, it’s a bright wine that has a happy lemon, apple and pear character, but unlike many citrussy wines, it has a bit of texture to it, meaning it doesn’t leave your mouth puckered and you can drink it for a long time without getting tired of it.
Sadly, some Gavis can be a bit bland and tart, which is why this one is such a gem, it has layers of flavour that build through a pretty floral start to baked apple and brioche flavours all the time with the bright lift of a squeeze of lemon.
Oh, and it’s biodynamic too – result.
You could drink this anytime and be very happy, and it’s a crowd pleaser. I know, I’ve tried it!
