If you’re looking for a red to wash down cheeses, cold meats, pizza or tomato sauces and ragu this is for you. Valpolicella is a lighter style red with cherry flavours and high acidity which cuts through the fat in cheese and meats and stands up to those tomatoes. It comes from Northern Italy, from the Veneto region, and it often has a ‘rustic’ edge which can make it less smooth and more tangy.
