What fun Moscato d’Asti is!
A particular style of sparkling sweet wine from a specific region in Northern Italy made in its own special way… this wine is a great friend for any dessert or get together with your pals without being too sweet or sickly.
This may not be a station that you would visit every day or even with just anyone. At WineTubeMap it is a ‘in the right mood’ kind of wine. A pick-me-up in a glass. And it’s just about impossible to be in a bad mood once you have had a sip. The summery flavours of pear, green apple, melon & peach quickly liven you up, and it is only 5.5% abv so good for a summers day rehydration!
This is a particularly lovely Moscato, it’s from a family run winery started in the early 1900’s (so they know their bubbles) and was one of the first wineries to export its products to the USA market where Moscato has seen a huge boom in popularity thanks to rap stars enjoying it at their parties!
We think Moscato d’Asti is best served chilled alongside pavlova – meringues are an amazing match.
